This is a wonderful deep blue Norman Norell in a light wool jersey. It is the epitome of what he represented - well tailored, beautifully constructed clothing in the best possible fabric of the day. This is a dress that could be presented on any runway of today and feel as relevant now as when it was constructed. Every line is a study in thought and detailing. The neck is high and the bodice skims over the torso with slim cut sleeves. The waist just skims over the torso but you can cinch it further with the original belt that has a big gold dramatic buckle. The skirt has a generous amount of fabric and yet it sits perfectly and slim without adding bulk. Very chic, very rare and in excellent condition.
The dress is unlined and closes with a back metal zipper. Hidden pockets on each hip. The belt is original and stamped with his name as well
