This antique French hexagonal upholstered bench or ottoman was made for a church. The carved wood base is painted white and the panels are identical on all six sides. The upholstered seat is a rich, deep gray with blue undertones, much like a slate or steel gray. The edge of the seat features a brass nailhead detail around the perimeter of the piece.

Measures 48.5" x 43" x 27.5"H. There are losses to the painted finish, as well as some missing nail-heads, which is evidence of the age. Upholstery is in good condition and may be newer than the base. Please see all images for details.
